The public spotlight often shines brightest on the artistic side of architecture + design. And we agree—this should be celebrated. Yet, too often, the immense value of the technical and delivery side of design is understated; or worse, overlooked altogether. At DELV, we believe in a holistic approach, one that invites a variety of lenses to engage in the design process. In 2014, our very first addition to the team was an architect with such lenses.

DELV Architect Kelley Miller launches an Indianapolis chapter of PechaKucha—the world’s fastest growing storytelling platform. Japanese for “chit-chat” and used globally in more than 140 countries, the PechaKucha model brings people together to tell powerful, visually-compelling stories in a simple format—20 slides, 20 seconds for each slide.
We sat down with Kelley to dig deeper into her motivation for this new launch and to learn more about how this simple idea is connecting people in meaningful ways.

Inaugural cohort of chefs selected for the new Fishers Test Kitchen at the Yard at Fishers District.
DELV teamed up with the City of Fishers and Launch Fishers to design the Fishers Test Kitchen, a restaurant accelerator set to open in November inside the Sun King Fishers Innovation Brewery building. The test kitchen has three restaurant stands for chef entrepreneurs looking to launch a new concept. The chefs will take up residency at the kitchen for one to two years, showcasing their food, gaining business skills, and building a local following in preparation for moving on to open their own locations.
